  • You may think my life is over
You may think I’m of the ill,
You may treat me like an invalid
But I will carry on, I will.

Where have you been all this time?
    Hiding behind your shame?
I’ve been fighting, fighting, fighting on,
    In this spirited, earthly game.

When you finally decide to take a note,
With the flourish of your quill.
    Curiously, smugly, wondering,
I will carry on, I will.

Does it make you feel better?
When I fall on rocky ground?
    Or when shouldering the boulders,
    Of something more profound?

Do you take a happy pleasure
    Assuming I’m weak and frail?
I assure you I have the strength of men,
    In this legendary tale.

You may gossip words of venom,
For the feeling of the thrill.
While you fain an air of innocence,
I will carry on, I will.

You think that you might know me,
    You don’t and never will.
What I’ve endured has deeply etched my soul,
    Your mind cannot fulfill.

So keep your smirks and slander,
Your bravado and all that’s “Grande”.
    I’m evolving in this lifetime,
    In this universal plan.

And when I reach that final moment,
At that gate upon “The Hill”.
Know that I have loved you, regardless,

    And will forever... still.

    I will. I will.

    I WILL.

  • I have a coat. It is mine.
    I chose it long ago,
Within the Council of The Sage.

It is unique, unlike any other,
    Yet obliged to assimilate.
A tapestry of scribbles and scrabbles,
Secured to the undergarment of ordinance.

    A wedding of aligned threads,
    That become my destined attire.
    Sometimes it’s becoming,
    Sometimes uncomfortably not.

    Much Ado. Much Ado.
    Nevertheless it is mine.
    Oh indeed!
Others have mocked my coat for years,
for all that it was lacking.

Yet I learned to love my coat,
    Regardless,
And I am better when treating it kindly.

You see, I have no choice,
    I have no other,
    For this coat is mine,
    Original and true
And it has tried its best.

  • Fear is not a verb.
So I will stare it face to face.
    I will out-glare, out-wit, out-smart it,
    At a mesmerizing pace.

    It knows not sensibility
    Or a perfectly rational thought.
    Instead it choses panic
    Or ideas filled with wrought.

It will not respond to kindness
    Or with an honest word,
    It prefers a dangerous slander
Since it relies on the absurd.

    With that said...

    Be mindful.
    Acknowledge it.
    And let it pass.
    Because...

    It’s a natural trepidation
    Emotion that is disturbed
So face it and then recognize
That fear is NOT a verb.

  • Chapter I.
    We come to earth.
    Immature and full of life.
    With terror... and confusion.
We don’t know why we are here.
    We make mistakes.
    They are not our fault.
    There must be a reason.

    Chapter II.
    We run the earth.
    We are growing older.
    We pretend we don’t know.
    We make mistakes.
Some our fault. Some are not.
    There must be a reason.

    Chapter III.
    We walk the earth.
    We are much older.
    We should know better.
We still make mistakes... will we ever learn?
    Our pride is too thick.
    It is our fault.
    There must be a reason.

    Chapter IV.
    We crawl the earth.
    We are old.
    We know better.
    We forgive.
    We love.
    We have learned.
    This is the reason.

    Chapter V.
    We become the earth.

  • Life has been a godly gift,
    A heavenly exam.
Naughts and checks wont fail me now.
I know now that I am.

Ive been hailed into the heavens,
    The angels will proclaim.
    My consciousness advancing
    In this vast omniscient game.

When I write of this importance
With the garnish of my hand,
    Spiritually gleaming,
I know now that I am.

    Divinity will guide us,
When we think we’ve lost our way.
    Mind within the moment,
And be it, come what may.

    Relish in the pleasure,
Of the power and strength we have,
    Beyond prayer and meditation,
    I know now that … I am.

I’ve learned respect and love of self,
    Credence will withstand.
    A tide upon my being,
Like a wave upon the sand.

I will live my final chapters
    With humility and grace
And a heart that’s of forgiveness
    At a contemplative pace.

I’ll return to where I started In this ethereal anagram.
I’ll know now that I’m part of One.
    And forever will be …
    I AM.
